Here's a less nauseating method :-)
rgrep "<pattern>" "<filespec>"
where <pattern> is a regular expression to search for, and <filespec>
is a regular expression to match filenames in the current (or given)
directory and all directories below it. The doublequotes are needed to
prevent the shell from expanding these itself.
